Abstract
The aim of this project is to calibrate the existing FKJ low speed wind blower tunnel in order to identify the present flow quality in the test section of the tunnel. Various experiments involved in wind tunnel calibration have been proposed. The precedures and instrumentation for these experiments are also discussed. Calibration experiments were done in a empty test section at only one reference speed of 10.76 m/s. Cross section at different locations in the test section were considered. From the result obtained, Pitot static calibration, Wind tunnel speed calibration, yawmeter calibration, velocity variation, angular flow variation and static pressure gradient graphs wereplotted. Lastly, discussion on the flow quality was made bya nalyzing the gagraphs. Some recommendations were proposed to various problems associatingthe blower tunnel. Suggestions for future works have also proposed. A brief study on Blower tunnel Data Acquisition system had been done in this report for continuation of future work.
