The current curriculum designed for the primary and secondary education in malaysia is relatively good and among the best and update in Southeast Asia. However, we believe the current curriculum does not provide students with adequate motivation and skills to face life after completing their secondary school. The current curriculum present in Malaysia had various defects. It iscomprised of the nature of the curriculum itself, the components of it and also the people withholding the curriculum and its goals. It only consists ofsubjects, topics "over curriculum" listed down in a document and the syllabi that should be taught by teachers in the schools. There are no question raised about it and no teachers, students or parents are allowed to participatein the making of the curriculum. Apart from that it is mostly overt. We need to have a "covert curriculum" or hidden curriculum which the current curriculum lacks. This covert curriculum is the practice of self-discipline or behaviour modification that everyone should have in order to succeed. This covert curriculum cannot be laid down in writing because it is something taht comes natural and results as a by-product of proper training and self-realization. Positive elements like obedience, lovally, caring, sharing, loving, honesty and punctually are ail important points that were ignored by the current curriculum. Therefore, we hope to improve the current curriculum by revising it according to our plan if approved by groups involved.
