Abstract
The projek consists of two parts, part 1 is to design a DES chip, whereas part II is to design a microsequencer chip. This report discusses the architecture of the microsequencer; and how the DES chip is controlled by the microsequencer to execute the DES algorithm. The microprogram of the microsequencer is explained as well. The detail of interfacing between the software driver with the DES and microsequencer chips is explained in depth. Lastly, suggestions for future development are mentioned.
