Author Notes

Saumyen Guha a Ph D from Princeton University, USA, is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He did his B E in civil engineering from the Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur, and an M Tech in environmental engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Rajesh Srivastava is currently Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. Earlier, he served as a research scientist at Soil, Water and Environmental Science Department, University of Arizona, USA. A gold medalist from IIT Roorkee (formerly the University of Roorkee) and a PhD from the University of Arizona, Dr Srivastava has to his credit more than 70 papers published in national and international journals and presentedat conference proceedings. He was awarded the GM Nawathe award for the best paper in the National Conference, Hydro, both in 2004and 2005.
