Since land information system in a basic tool for nearly all development effort. Yet much available information is not used because decisions makers are unaware of its existence. Hence forth, the storage and presentation of land information covering all user needs, should be computerised. In our country , the computerised L I S is newly developed and is at first phase of collecting and collating data. Hopeful in the near future such a system would achieve its objective. As the title suggests, the aim of this thesis is to propagate the idea of having a L I S feasible and much needed inthis country, need to be realised. For that matter, the author has led to know and understand the various possibilities, problems and issues which are and will be encountered in the long run. In addition, various discussions and possible means to overcome such diffiulties would also be reviewed.
