Abstract:
Nowadays, the progress of power electronics rapidly improve particularlyin the semiconductor devices. Many electrical engineers are in enthusiasmfor doing research especially in the semiconductors which have greaterprospect to be developed in the future. The application of devices particularly in the field ofelectrical engineering especially in the industrial control and the areas of electric power devices. This conventional device isthyristor.There are several techniques in controlling firing angle for instance phasecontrol. In addition, the conventional technique which had been used incontrolling firing angle by using unijunction transistors were matched withpulse transformer to trigger the thyristor. For the time being, phase control employing digital technique is commonly used. Based on this technique microprocessor has been used with programmable timer module to generate threephase signal from single signal.This project presents phase delay angle measurement technique employing indigital. The technique is teh combination of microprocessor and TTL device.
