Often the raw data received directly from the acquisition device will display a relatively low quilty representation of the scene of interest. This problem may be due to the poor illumination condition, the unsatisfactory operating environment, erroneous information generated during the transmission of the data or the noise associated in the system. In many tsks involving image manipulation, the low quilty data can be processed to enhance it appearance or to emphasize some of the features to aid representation. In order to chieve the objective, several enhancement techniques were selected to look fo rthe appropriate techniques used are the histogram equalization, modification and lowpass filtering. During this project several images will be studied to study the characteristics of the histogram that will produced better enhanced image.
