Summary

Summary

Equally useful for musicians, dance mixers, post engineers, and sound designers, this book applies to a large audience. Even though some chapters recap basic functions, "Pro Tools 6 Power " cuts to the chase highlighting the most essential, useful concepts and techniques. The content of this book includes an effective balance of in-depth technical information and narrative explanations of how readers go about common tasks. Furthermore, this book offers a good value in that after it has enabled novice users to get going with Pro Tools, it provides enough additional depth in later chapters, that these same users will be able to mine it for inspiration months or years later. This book includes a "Power Tips" Appendix which specifically speaks to intermediate and advanced users; it's a mixed bag of useful suggestions, workarounds, strategies for speed and efficiency, and creative ideas for adding sonic interest to a project. "Pro Tools 6 Power" is supplying the need for an updated version of the very successful "Pro Tools Power" (1-929685-57-2).
