This current, practical package provides the means to learn computer numerical control (CNC) programming and includes CNC simulation software. It covers the basics of CNC programming, including history, fundamentals and an introduction to the programming techniques. Step-by-step coverage of machining processes is provided. This package can be used to test existing programs of write and edit new ones. It also overviews end-user packages such aas EasyCAM and MasterCAM.


Author Notes

Derek H. Murphy has been with TORCOMP since 1987 and is operations manager of CAD/CAM/CNC/CAE applications. Mr. Murphy graduated from Ryerson Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Industrial Engineering.
