There is a definite need for CMMS applications in Malaysian industries where such system could help monomize maintenance costs and improve machine up time. A CMMS software had already been developed on the IBM PC environment. This work shall continue with the previous project where the software is to be used on Apple Macintosh, where the graphical user interface ability of the Macintosh shall result in a much more user friendly environment. While the philosophy of the software shall remain the same, the programming shall be entirely new. The product of this project has been proved to be a more user friendly software with the full support of mouse, better appearance and ease of use. New features have been added to the Macintosh version of CMMS which is so far a limitation in the IBM version. Further work can be done on this software to add in more commercial value.
