About the author WILLIAM A. BAND is a Vice President of Rath & Strong, Inc., the management consulting firm based in Lexington, Massachusetts. Formerly a partner with The Coopers & Lybrand Consulting Group where he led the firm's Center for Excellence in Customer Satisfaction, Mr. Band specializes in helping organizations facing complex change achieve success through developing customer value-creating strategies. He is also the author of the bestselling Wiley business book, Creating Value for Customers: Designing and Implementing a Total Corporate Strategy.
