After interviewing hundreds of professional women, the authors (both researchers) distilled "seven secrets" that successful women share. These women all realize the importance of a mentor, know how to increase their visibility, know how to develop a good network, learn to communicate effectively, balance home and work, know when to take smart risks, and understand the politics of the organization. Chapters give examples of what each strategy means and how to implement it and ends with a summary and action plan.
