Design Aim - To create a 'self-contained' scheme in terms of spatial needs.

Design Objective - To provide space for public interaction such as, administration building, multi purpose hall multi purpose space, fire station, mini library, cafeteria, exhibition area, gymnasium, children's playground and staffs housing.

Thesis Aim - To create the station that functions a meeting palace.

Thesis Objective - 1) To provide more space as one alternative to heighten the relationship between the public and the fire staff. 2) To provide more space for interaction for the public and five staffs such as the multi purpose hall, mini library, gallery, gumnasium, surau and cafateria. 3) To design a fire station which functions not only as a fire station but as an institution that provide knowledge and recreational activities.

Design scope - The scope of the thesis comprises of 5 asperts of work These are : i) The analysis of the brief ii) The study of the overall site planning iii) The study of proposed multi spaces iv) The study of the fire station v) The design of the quarters housing. However, priority would be given on aspect (iv).

The site - The site was selected based on the following criterias a) The need of a fire station in a new township area b) The provision of a fire station is determined by the category of fire hazard.

Basic from the above criteria, the selected site is in Jalan Kemajuan, Bandar Baru Bangi located about 23 kms from Kuala Lumpur. It covers 5 acres of land and it's important characteristics are : a) Monotonous views of housing estates, palm estates and factories with single to 5 storey building. b) Flat area c) Greens of palm tree estate enveloping the site.
