`The Third Edition of International Human Resource Management is a comprehensive guide for today′s IHRM researchers, students, and practitioners. It covers not only traditional IHRM topics such as expatriate selection and the implications of cultural differences, but also advances our understanding of topics that have gained importance recently such as strategic IHRM and international total rewards programs. As a text, it has the advantage of including chapters covering each of the major topics in IHRM carefully chosen and orchestrated by an excellent editing team and written by leading specialists in each topic. The inclusion of discussion questions for students and instructor materials makes it a student-friendly instructional resource′ - Mark F. Choice Review
This volume offers a very thorough and well-organized contrast and comparison of human resource management at the international level. Part 1 is directed to strategy, structure, and process. Part 2 considers personnel, culture, compensation, appraisal, and development. Part 3 deals with managing an international staff, and the fourth and last part with industrial relations. The book is profusely illustrated with tables and graphs. The index is adequate and the reference section is outstanding. This volume is a gold mine of organized information for international instructors and students. Writing style and readability are good to excellent, varying naturally among the 18 contributing authors. Highly recommended. Upper-division undergraduate through professional.
