DESIGN OBJECTIVES - The lack of planning and lost of the eventful of an Airport have brought forth these objectives; i) To propose a masterplan that will cover the maximum expansion capable of the existing Sultan Ismail Airport. ii) To design the proposed terminal to handle the capacity in the next 20 years. iii) To design the Terminal building with facilities for the passengers' comfort. iv) To create an Airport with an evenful atmosphere.

DESIGN APPROACH - With design objectives defined, the overall design will be based upon creating the 'Airport as a Place of Events'. This relates closely to making the passengers' journey through the Airport a journey of emotions.
