Summary

The growth of off-campus and distance education has placed increasing pressure on academic, public, and special libraries worldwide. This annotated bibliography focuses on library services and how libraries can meet new demands and take advantage of opportunities resulting from these trends. More than 500 entries-400 covering works published in the '90s-describe periodical articles, conference proceedings, theses, research reports, pamphlets, articles from monographs, and monographs. These provide users with useful information on subjects that range from bibliographic instruction and collection development to evaluation methods and user studies. This text updates Library Services for Off-Campus and Distance Education (ALA, 1991), which describes publications from 1930 through 1991.
