Author Notes
ELISABETTA G MAPELLI was born in Milan, Italy in 1968 and graduated in Architecture at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' where, after a specialisation in Theory and Techniques of Design, she obtained a PhD in Architectural Composition (Theories of Architecture). She is now a lecturer at the faculty of Architecture in Rome, as well as a practising architect whose professional activities range from house restoration to building renovation.
