Abstract:
Data conversion hardware has undergone an evolution nearly as impressive as that seen by digital computers. While it is commonly known even by non-technical person persons that "computers-on-a-chip" are readily available, it is not necessarily understood by many working engineers that monolithic data converters with on-chip microprocessor interface are now also readily available. This paper examines some of the currently available pproducts as well as trends for future offerings.
