About Won Kim Won Kim is founder and president of UniSQL in Austin, Texas, a developer of database systems and application development tools. Formerly Principle Scientist at MCC and director of MCC's Object-Oriented and Distribution Systems Group, Dr. Kim was chief architect of the ORION object-oriented database system. With Dr. Fred Lochovsky, Dr. Kim edited Object-Oriented Concepts, Databases, and Applications . He is currently chairman of ACM SIGMOD, and editor-in-chief of ACM Transactions on Database Systems.
