Yet another book that suffers from the inherent time delay in the publishing cycle. The volume contains valuable information in its program data, but much of the information on other programs and computers has become outdated. Written in Applesoft Basic for planners, urban designers, and landscape architects, the main program allows the user to create and manipulate map and site data. The book is well written for the beginning computer user and is well organized with chapter subdivisions, conclusions, and ``user friendly'' language. For a reasonable price and the time needed to type in the routines, the user will receive a program similar in capabilities to some commercially available but more expensive programs now on the market.-G.
