SALVATO was a sanitary and public health engineer consultant and assistant commissioner in the Division of Sanitary Engineering for the New York State Department of Health in Albany, as well as a past fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Public Health Association.

NELSON L. NEMEROW, PhD, is former professor of environmental engineering at the University of Miami, as well as other universities, and former head of environmental engineering at Syracuse University.

FRANKLIN J. AGARDY, PhD, is a founding partner of Forensic Management Associates, an environmental consulting firm based in San Mateo, California. He is coauthor of Practical Environmental Forensics, from Wiley.
