The objective of this project is to develop a computer programme in solvingthe design problems of helical and bevel gears. Besides, a existing spur gear design programme was modified and combined together. Hence the final developed programme is capable to solve the design problems of spur, helical and bevel gears. The design concepts followed are based on AGMA specification. All the analyses are briefly discussed and the corresponding and the numeric data and graphs are tabulated. The programme code is written in Turbo C language on IBM compatible PC. List out in Appendix is the gear design programme
