Summary

This text caters to a first course in chemistry taken by environmental engineers. The purpose of the book is twofold: to bring into focus those aspects of chemistry which are particularly valuable to environmental engineering practice, and to lay a groundwork of understanding in the area of specialized quantitative analysis, commonly referred to as water and wastewater analysis.
