Choice Review
Under the leadership of editor Jones, eight design educators have put together a book that students and professional interior designers can use to make sound design decisions--both in theory and in their current practices. Beginning with a global perspective on the sustainability movement, this four-part work is set up to present the tools and knowledge necessary to implement an environmentally responsible approach for any interior design project. It focuses on day-to-day green and sustainable issues including indoor air quality, lighting design, energy and water use, interior finishes, and furnishings. The book also uses case studies to demonstrate the actual principles and practices presented throughout. With plenty of black-and-white pictures, diagrams, charts, a significant glossary, and substantial bibliography, this volume has no shortage of supporting information. Summing Up: Recommended.
