In response to frequent requests for guidance on the reclamation and management of non-ferrous metalliferous mining sites, an 18-month research programme was commissioned which pays particular attention to non-agricultural after uses. To compile the report current literature and practices were reviewed, a wide range of organizations consulted, and visits were made to over 30 sites in Great Britain.
