This handbook is one of the best and should be on the shelf of anyone working in the field. There are 53 chapters by more than 38 experts in the industry. Since its emphasis is on design, the handbook opens with chapters on how to conceptualize, lay out, and calculate the data needed to organize an economic, energy-efficient system. The bulk of the handbook consists of chapters on various system factors and components to be considered, with accompanying tables, formulas, illustrations, and references. These chapters cover topics ranging from pipe and duct sizing, to the utilization of various heating and cooling methods, to the control of noise and vibration.
