Abstract:
The aim of this project is to outline a damping system that will decrease the motions and eliminate the harmful consequences in sea going. In this studies, it is to analyze a stabilizer for rolling and pitching motions using acylinder concepts. In this project, which included the preliminary motion studies, moments act on the small caraft and the stabilization system. Basically, there are four moments acting in the motions as initialing, damping, restoring and exciting moments. The roll and pitch stabilization systems are commonly used to reduce the periodic motion in the sea way. As a whole, the project was an analysis of a simple harminc motion where a simple pendulum concept is used. A trial and error from experiment is the method to identify the d/l ratio or displacement of the cylinder. HOwever, to relate the small cacraft and the cylinder is used as analysis.
