Richard Meier's architectural commissions have included the City Hall and Central Library in the Hague. Meier received the Pritzker Prize for Architecture and Gold Medals from the American Institute of Architects and the Royal Institute of British Architects, as well as the Praemium Imperiale from the Japan Art Association. Germano Celant is an art critic and Senior Curator of Contemporary Art at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York. Michael Shapiro is director of the High Museum of Art, Atlanta.
