In Europe, screeen printing is gaining popularity as an alternative printing technique for the producation of maps, especially when a small number of copies is required. Locally, screen printing is mostly appplied in tje graphicarta and advertising display productions. In the practical test, the screen printing and screen printing machine for advertising display productions were adapted for mapm production. The problems encountered in the screen printing task were discussed and solutions put forward. For relatively simple map, the writer considered this printing technique to be very useful in helping to meet the ever increasing demand for quickly and cheaply produced maps.
