BPR is perhaps best described as the restructuring of an organization or enterprise to change the way of business process designs and to implement new workflows and day-to-day processes. Business process reengineering, at times, is often perceived as similar to business process redesign. In fact, these two differ in the sense that business process reengineering involves taking down the whole structure of the workflow process and starting over from scratch; on the other hand, business process redesign takes a more conservative approach that may leave some of the present structure and may merely tweak certain processes in isolation"

Author Notes

Heru Susanto, PhD, is currently the head and a researcher of the Computational Science & IT Governance Research Group at the Indonesian Institute of Sciences. He is also an Honorary Professor and Visiting Scholar at the Department of Information Management, College of Management and Hospitality, Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwan. Dr. Heru has experience as an IT professional and as web division head at IT Strategic Management at Indomobil Group Corporation. He has worked as the Prince Muqrin Chair for Information Security Technologies at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Fang-Yie Leu, PhD, is currently a Professor in the Computer Science Department at Tunghai University, Taiwan. He is on the editorial boards of several journals. Professor Leu organizes international workshops on mobile commerce, cloud computing, network and communication security (MCNCS) and compact wireless EVA communications system (CWECS). He is an IEEE member and now serves as a technical program committee (TPC) member of many international conferences. He was also a visiting scholar at the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Chin Kang Chen, PhD, is a Lecturer at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Begawan, Brunei. He also has industry experience from working on projects with local telecommunications companies and government ministries and agencies. His research interests include information security management system, IT governance, mobile devices, cloud computing, and e-government.
