Summary

This proceedings, Infrastructure: A New Materials and Methods of Repair, contains 146 papers presented at the Third Materials Engineering Conference held in San Diego, California on November 13 - 16 1994. Since infrastructure problems encompass many disciplines and areas, these papers address a broad range of topics such as: high performance materials; recycled materials; new and innovative repair technologies; material durability; rehabilitation; nondestructive evaluation; material testing; quality control; and quality assurance. Besides research and development issues, papers also present case studies concerned with investigation and rehabilitation of the infrastructure. Whether the papers are concerned with research and development or case studies, this proceedings presents valuable information on the use of concrete, bituminous, aggregate base course, composites, plastics, and wood in the evaluation and rehabilitation of the infrastructure.
