Summary
Summary
This theoretical study was inspired by the results of experimental research work undertaken by the author in cooperation with the Research Institute of the Cotton Industry in Czechoslovakia. Part I of the book is devoted to van der Pol systems. Part II focuses on increasing the stability boundary of rotor systems. Part III presents current research results on the study of self-excited vibration induced by flow, where various means for quenching self-excited vibrations are reviewed and compared, using simple models designed by the author.
