The objective of this project is to develop a PC-based data acquisitionsystem for Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FKJ)'s low speed wind tunnel.The first stage of this project involves the literature study to gather extensive information of data acquisition system for wind tunnel. later the data acquisition system based on linear variable displacement transducer(LVDT) are developed for displacement measurement.The experience gained from the LVDT work are then used to further developedthe pressure data acquisition system for wind tunnel. The important elementsof pressure data acquisition including signal conditioning, and softwaredevelopment specifically for this project are described. Finally, theproblems faced during the development stage are discussed. Suggestions to ovecome these problems, and recommendations for the future works are made.
