Library Journal Review
Syndicated columist Lank, who also teaches real estate and is a realtor, has compiled and arranged many of the letters she has answered in her columns. Without mincing words, Lank dispenses reliable and down-to-earth advice with a dash of salty wit. The book is divided into three large sections: home buying, home owning, and home selling. Chapters within each section cover a wide variety of topics (e.g., mortgages, points, real estate brokers, tax consequences). By its nature not tightly organized or systematic (one chapter is entitled ``Decisions, Decisions''), this book is nevertheless extremely readable and imparts a good deal of useful information. Recommended for public libraries to complement more straightforward treatments of the subject.-- Jack Ray, Loyola/Notre Dame Lib., Baltimore (c) Copyright 2010.
