Noon attempts to bring together the literature of product design management for the British industrial manager. The book provides more than 700 citations, and annotations are supplied for about three quarters of them. In the main, coverage reflects literature published from about 1970 to 1986 although some earlier references are included. The bibliography has a very clear British bias in its choice of materials for inclusion and in its annotations. Its arrangement is cumbersome; it is produced in typescript and appears to have come directly from a database management program. Citations do not conform to any recognizable bibliographic format, and the bibliography is indexed only by author. Access to citations by subject is not adequate. This bibliography might be useful in collections that seek to own everything on R & D management, project management, or product design, but it is not recommended for most undergraduate libraries. -D.
