Author Notes
CARMELA CUNNINGHAM is a writer who has spent the last seven years researching and writing about adaptive computing technology and information access for people with disabilities. She coordinated, wrote and edited the EASI Seminar Series, a curriculum guide that provides information on how to develop and enhance adaptive computing services at colleges and universities. She also speaks on adaptive technology at various computing and higher education conferences. Ms. Cunningham writes shipping and transportation articles for trade magazines, and she writes freelance articles for magazines and newspapers on a variety of subjects. She has edited five books on topics that range from military aircraft to business management to adaptive technology, and she has contributed to several other books and magazines.::Coombs /f Norman /b NORMAN COOMBS, Ph.D., is a retired professor of history, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York. Dr. Norman R. Coombs is the recipient of the 2000 Francis Joseph Campbell Award given by the Library Service to People with Visual or Physical Disabilities Forum of the Libraries Serving Special Populations Section of ASCLA (Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies).
