Inder J. Bahl earned his Ph.D. in microwave engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Bahl is principal scientist at ITT GaAsTEK, Roanoke, VA., and is a Distinguished Fellow of Technology at M/A-COM, Roanoke, VA. Dr. Bahl is also the co-author of Microstrip Antenna Design Handbook, RF and Microwave Coupled-Line Circuits, and Microstrip Lines and Slotlines, Second Edition (Artech House 2001, 1999, and 1996).
