This thesis described a project of designing a Small Loop antenna to workat 450 MHz. First stage of this project is to study and review the basictheory of electomagnetic as to understand the concept of electrostaticand electrodynamic. Use all the concept as applied to explaining themechanism of electromagnetic radiation. Followed by analyse of wire antennaand loop antenna theory as to calculate the far field (electromagneticfield). The designed is based on the theory of Small Loop at 450 MHz.Then we carry out measurement by using the slotted line (at the satellitelaboratory) to get the input impedance. After we applied the "balun", takereading the input impedance once again. Finally test the radiation patternand gain at Radio Communication Laboratory with a dipole as transmitter.When testing is completed, compare the experimental results with theory.
