This program looks at a range of lifting equipment and the fundamental principles that should be followed to prevent accidents. The program concentrates on chain slings, wire slings and fibre slings and covers the following issues: -Pre-use Checks -Care of Equipment whilst in use -Planned Periodic Inspections -Storage of Equipment The program looks at all the general do's and don'ts when using slings and highlights the importance of the pre-use checks and what all operators should look for when selecting the appropriate sling for a given task.
