Abstract:
The southern part of the North Sea is noted for its heavy shipping lanes. The presence of sandwaves, sandbanks and also wrecks, made iit critical for these features to be identified and positioned. The types of sand bed profiles are discussed and the hydrographic survey method for the above purpose are outlined.
