Summary
This book provides needed guidance and advice for how colleges and universities can reorganize to foster more collaborative work. In a time of declining resources, financial challenges, changing demographics, and staff overturn, institutions are looking for ways to maximize their resources and still be effective. This book is based on a study of campuses that have been successful in recreating their environments to support collaborative work.

THE AUTHORS
Adrianna J. Kezar is an associate professor of higher education at the University of Southern California. She is associate director for the Center for Higher Education Policy Analysis and former editor of the ASHE-ERIC Higher Education Report Series. Kezar is a prolific writer and the author of over seventy-five articles and twelve books, including Rethinking the "L" Word in Higher Education, Higher Education for the Public Good , and Understanding and Facilitating Organizational Change in the 21 st Century .
Jaime Lester is an assistant professor of higher education at George Mason University and former assistant professor in the Department of Leadership and Counseling at Old Dominion University. She has published articles in the Community College Journal of Research and Practice, Community College Review, Journal of Higher Education, Liberal Education , and Thought & Action .
