CHRISTINE FANTHOME, inspired by a work placement at London Weekend Television, went on to study English and Drama at London University and then to enjoy a career in broadcasting with Thames Television. Later, having taken an MA and a PhD, she became a freelance writer, lecturer and consultant. She has worked at the University of Roehampton Surrey as a consultant and tutor on its work placement module.
